Investigate

5–6 The student explains the problem, discussing its relevance. The student critically investigates the problem, evaluating information from a broad range of appropriate, acknowledged sources. The student describes detailed methods for appropriate testing to evaluate the product/solution against the design specification.

The problem is to create a house music track which lasts a minimum of 15 minutes. After deciding that I wanted to make a track that would make people dance while still having a few parts which were slightly mellow, I searching for songs that would fit that criteria. I started with looking through my own music collection and then i followed on by looking through official music channels on YouTube. The songs i used to compose my final track are listed below. The presentation by Mr. Chettri (which is another source listed below) was very helpful to understand the composition of a music piece. With that understanding I decided to use a riff/hook in the beginning. The riff was changed twice, from movie line to 20 Century Fox intro. Another source which is not listed below, but was used in the process was my own knowledge of mixing. This knowledge allowed me to blend the different songs with more ease.
