Plan

5–6 The student produces a plan that contains a number of detailed, logical steps that describe the use of resources and time. The student critically evaluates the plan and justifies any modifications to the design.

Time Line

April 27 - bibliography due (including where you got your music samples)

April 30 - planning complete

June 1 - session complete

June 8 - evaluation complete

My first plan is to take songs that would go well together and then mix them into a 30mins track. I'm not to sure how I'm going to make the three movements. I am going to start the track with a hook/riff which will be a line from a movie and maybe end it with anther line.
  1. Start with a line from a movie (Joker line from The Dark Knight) [the idea comes from Mr. Chettri]
  2. Continue with a dramatic tune that goes well with the movie line and then goes into the original song.
  3. Then find songs that I like and go well with each other.
  4. Use short clips of each song to create variation.
  5. End with another line once time limit is reached

My second plan, also my final plan is to take less songs and expand them. I then pick songs that go with the slow movement and also the dance movement. I will still start with with a riff just not a line from a movie. For this track I will not end with a line from a movie.
  1. Start with a famous beginning (20th Century Fox) as a riff/hook [the idea comes from Mr. Chettri]
  2. Continue with the main dance track
  3. Expand that main track
  4. After a while of the dance track, go into a slower and mellow track to give the audience some time to refill and re-energize
  5. After about 5 minutes of slow and mellow speed it up again with another dance track.
  6. This dance track end while the main dance track comes back, which lets the dancing continue.
  7. After a long dance section bring in a slow trance track to again give the audience some time to recover.
  8. Finally end with the main dance track to excite the audience again.
I believe that my second plan is the better one because it fits the criteria. It has two moments instead of none like in my first plan. I also expand a limited amount of songs instead of just using small clips that cannot hold the audience on the dance floor for long.
Even though the second one is much better as it has many more criteria fitting things, they both had a riff, which I think makes the track a little more fun.
